New Classes Starting in Reading area
MAD Academy is delighted to welcome its newest team
member, Trish Nawacki. Trish will be starting up lots more classes in
the Reading area in September 2004, in Earley, Woodley and Caversham.
As well as running lots of weekday classes, Trish will be
catering for those full time working parents who get little opportunity to
participate in classes like MAD Academy by running Saturday classes in the
Caversham area. These are guaranteed to be popular, so contact Trish
now if you want to secure a place for you and your child.

Special Needs
In addition to the standard classes, MAD Academy are now
piloting classes for children with special needs. This is being done in
conjunction a Reading based school. It has always been our objective to
make MAD Academy classes accessible to all and this initiative is a major
step towards achieving that goal.
'Jump!' CD
The MAD Academy will be launching a CD at Easter.
With a running time of over 57 minutes and a total of 25 tracks the CD,
titled 'Jump!', looks like being very popular. Pre-sales are already being
taken. Contact MAD Academy to find
out more.
Up with the Lark!
MAD Academy founder Helen Harrington was on BBC Radio
Berkshire at 07.50 on 12 January 2004. This is the third time that the MAD
Academy has featured on BBC Radio Berkshire in four weeks. As a guest on
the
Nicki Whiteman morning show Helen was quizzed about the challenges of
running a start-up business. The Nicki Whiteman show regularly follows
local businesses and reports their progress and successes.
MAD Academy on BBC Radio
The launch of the Music and Dance Academy has caught the
attention of BBC Radio Berkshire. On 5 January 2004 Helen
Harrington was interviewed
on the
Nicole Russell show where she told Berkshire about the classes that
start from 6 January. Also the MAD Academy secret helper Ralph was
disclosed to listeners.
In December 2003 Helen Harrington was the sofa guest on the
Jim Cathcart drive-time show on BBC Radio Berkshire. Helen, in her
inimitable style, even managed to state her opinion about a third runway at
Heathrow!
