Academy joins festival crowds

A Norwich music and dance academy for pre-school children has taken part in a food and music festival in Suffolk.

Mad Academy (Norwich) went to Harvest t Jimmy’s Farm Festival to run classes in the children’s area of the festival on September 10-11.

Hannah Falgate, who has taken over academy in Norwich, said: “Having only recently taken over the business, I was overwhelmed that I have been given this opportunity to do something on such a large scale and was really excited to be able to represent MAD Academy to more than 10,000 people.”

Miss Falgate ran five different classes from a tent in the children’s play pen-area with her colleagues Nicole Stevenson and Chloe Harcourt. Together they run classes across Tavernham, Thorpe St Andrew, Old Catton, Easton and the Notre Dame Prep School in Dereham Raod, Norwich.

Miss Falgate said: “We got a brilliant response from all the families at the festival, we had children of all ages joining in throughout each day and they seemed to really enjoy themselves.

“I was so pleased with our response, it was a great feeling to see all their little smiling faces, dancing and singing to all our songs.”

Miss Falgate said the highlight for all the children who cam along to support them was the opportunity to meet Mr Tumble from CBeebies. Hannah is pictured with Mr Tumble and Ralph the MAD Academy mascot.
